
Join NCM4A + North Carolina Poor People’s Campaign: A National Call for Moral Revival on Monday, June 7th at Noon for our news conference and rally to demand our Reps support a Third Reconstruction in America, which includes the demand for a universal, single-payer national health care system.
The Resolution (text here) aims to: (1) acknowledge the deep harms we have suffered from systemic racism, poverty, ecological devastation and the denial of health care, militarism and the false narrative of white supremacist nationalist extremism and (2) commit to heal and transform the nation by addressing these interlocking injustices, beginning with those most impacted, to demand moral and just laws and policies.
When: Monday June 7th, 12 Noon
Location: Nash Square Park, 200 S McDowell St Raleigh NC 27601, corner of S McDowell St and E Martin St
Schedule: 11:30AM: arrive and gather signs and assemble for the press conference.
12:00PM: Noon Press conference begins
12:30PM: March 2 blocks to Congresswoman Deborah Ross office 300 Fayetteville St.
1:00PM Return to Nash Square Park and Press conference concludes.
Parking Options: There are 2 public parking decks nearby, at 201 W Morgan St and a smaller one at 214 S Salisbury St. Some street parking is also available nearby.
Covid Safety: We ask all participants to wear masks and remain at least 6 feet apart at all times, especially if you haven't yet been able to be vaccinated. If you are feeling at all ill, even the slightest of symptoms, we ask that you stay at home and join the press conference via livestream on our Facebook page.
We stand united with people all across this nation as they too call on their US Representatives to sign-on to our Third Reconstruction Resolution.
